An industry price rise has been announced by all the clothing manufacturers. As from July the 1st all Major manufacturers have announced a price rise. The continuing weak pound against the Dollar is to blame.
The World’s leading suppliers such as Fruit of the Loom and Gildan have introduced small rises over the last 12 months but with no real improvement in the exchange rate have had to bring in this years rise. In the last few years the customer has seen the price of t shirts and hoodies etc fall year on year. This has now stopped and over the next period prises will rise as the World’s credit crunch starts to bite.
Acorn Printing has absorded some of the pricee rises by improving production efficiency, however from July the first will introduce a small price increase.
