Teenagers being Taxed

The current ruling on vat free clothing for Children is way out of date. This out of date ruling goes back to the 1940s. Today children are so much larger which means 12 and 13 year old’s can be in clothing that attracts VAT. The School wear association is currently lobbying the government to get a review on the present tax ruling. The MP Nigel Evans has tabled an early day motion in March and received cross party support.
