Congratulations to Justin Miles, our favourite serial adventurer and charity fundraiser, who has just completed his gruelling “Channel to Channel Challenge”…ready to take on something even more difficult.
Acorn is really pleased to have provided support for Justin on his latest charity fundraiser the “Channel to Channel Challenge”. Justin has kayaked from the Bristol Channel to the English Channel via rivers and canals in order to raise money for The Children’s Trust.
Justin has combined the physical exertion of paddling his kayak with a hectic schedule of interviews with TV, radio, newspapers and magazines. Although his primary purpose is to raise the profile of his charitable work and generate sponsorship and donations, we are grateful for the introductions that Justin has made for us with both the media and with potential clients.
It is quite amazing that far from resting on his laurels Justin has immediately turned his attention to a new project. This one makes paddling several hundred miles seem very tame. On December 1th Justin flies out to embark on “North2012” which is a 90 day unsupported expedition to travel 900 miles across the Arctic ice. In winter. In the dark. What’s more amazing is that this is only phase 1 of an attempt to reach the Pole from Greenland. Justin and his fellow explorer Alex Hibbert will be preparing supply stores ready for the main expedition in March 2013.
North2012 is a great marketing opportunity for a range of focused businesses so check out the website and get in contact with Justin directly if you would like to get involved.
There’s still time to enter our competition – “‘Just for the Challenge Surviving Adventure Training Weekend”. This prize is worth £145 but we are offering it to a lucky FACEBOOK FAN for FREE! All you have to do is “LIKE” our Facebook page and answer the Competition Question.
