Acorn have been awarded a Certificate for outstanding service in support of the British Legion. Acorn again supported the Poppy appeal and have been very fortunate to receive this recognition when so many Companies and individuals around the country support this annual event. Managing Director Clive Horlor said that the Company were very honoured to receive this recognition and would continue to offer support for the British Legion and Troop Aid

Red Arrows take on Lady driver

The Worlds best acrobatic display team the Red Arrows have taken their first women pilot. I mean this is the best of the best so to achieve this the lady is good, very good to beat off so many men at their own game is not a normal achievement but a great one so congrats to Flight Lieutenant Kirsty Moore who joins the Red Arrows next year.
For christ sake guys don’t ask her to reverse it or navigate. In the mean time very well done Kirsty,Mum and Dad will be very chuffed ! Can’t wait to see the T shirts
Cassarean birth for Attacked shark

What a Wonderful World we live in
A shark at a New Zealand aquarium bitten by another shark unexpectedly released four baby sharks as visitors at the aquarium watched in amazement.
An aquarium manager reported that stunned visitors saw the injured shark and informed staff that they had also seen bits float from the gaping wound.
The baby sharks were removed from the tank to prevent other sharks from eating them.Staff also moved the mother they found a further four sharks inside her.The Large wound was stitched by a vet at Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World in Auckland.”
Mother and babies are doing well, All eight baby sharks survived.

We have a new World boxing Champion. Can you imagine getting in a ring with a guy about 9 inches taller, 7 stone heavier and with a reach 8 inches longer and then fight him.
David Haye is certainly brave if not mad. Even if your not a boxing fan you have to admire anyone who would get into the same ring as the Russian giant. If ever a guy deserves the World Title David Haye does. I would have given him the title for just getting in the ring with him. The Russian opponent looks like the person kids have night mares about.
