Have a friend who has just been to see Macbeth at the RSC Stratford and bought A  t shirt from the theatre. Pleased to say he was really chuffed with it. Hadn’t got the heart to tell him we printed them

Quite pleased, managed to get through the month without anyone wanting us to print AV t shirts. I wasn’t sure how to spell it anyway. We had a game in the office as to how many AV’s we knew, ie Aston Villa, Audio Visual, Auntie Vera, the last one was classed as a cheat

Direct to Garment printing from Acorn

Direct to Garment printing or DTG as it is better known is fairly new technology which allows us to print a one off garment with a full colour print. Acorn have invested in the Brother GT541 and the larger GT782.  We were the first Company in Europe to Order and get delivery of the new Brother machines. If you have a small run requirement but is highly coloured artwork then please call us for advice and the solution. Whist other talked about it we did it !

Easter Closing

Acorn will be closed Easter Friday and Monday, We are also taking a day off for the Wedding on Friday. Then of Course the Following Monday is another holiday. As long as the weather stays fine everyone will be happy.

Debenhams announce higher prices

A day before the Budget Debenhams have announced that winter coats for men this coming winter will be 20% higher due to rising costs. Debenhams have joined Next, Gap and other retail names in announcing price increases due to the price of Cotton, minimum wages agreements in the Far East and transport cost due to higher fuel prices.

We at Acorn have seen many rises in both cotton and polyester clothing over the last few months and one of the Major suppliers Fruit of the loom have announced a new increase for April following a January price rise.

Mark Bonnett Joins Horlor IT Ltd
