What a world we live in! This one comes from New Zealand, I love this one, apparently When New Zealand   signed up to the Kyoto Protocol it promised to cut it’s emissions of green house gases back to 1990 levels. As New Zealand has very little manufacturing it was never going to be an easy one. One thing NZ does have is thousands of cattle and millions of sheep all producing methane gas.

The politicians are proposing to tax the gas that is produced by the farm animals, This has caused a stink in the farming industry which is a very powerful lobby in NZ. The farming industry produces over 50% of the gases which are considered gases which cause global warming in New Zealand.

The fight against this silly plan has been labeled the Fart tax gang, standing for of course  ”Fight Against Ridiculous Taxes”

There is hope that science can solve the problem but in the mean time the New Zealand wine industry reports there is a serious shortage of cork !!!!
