Marketing is the key

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

It is not important if you are a one man band or a large corporation marketing is the key to success. It is very easy when times get tough to cut back the budgets and the first is in most cases the marketing budget. Wrong ! Those that are proactive in difficult trading conditions are the ones that come through the storm.  Marketing and advertising can be relatively low cost. Your workforce can be your billboard as well as having the corporate ID.

In addition to Acorn’s a wide range of personalised workwear and corporate clothing, the sign division is very busy suppling banners, pavement signs and exhibition displays.

There are many white van driving around that could be used as valuable advertising space for your company. If you are a builder, plumber or an electrician working at some one’s premises then put a Pavement sign outside and let people know who’s doing the job.

Corporate ID and marketing works.

Brother visit Acorn

Last week we had two Visitors from Brother. They were in the UK as part of a European tour visiting key customers for market and product research. As Acorn use both Brother embroidery machines and being one of the first in the UK to have installed the new Brother GT-541 direct Garment printers, Acorn were chosen to get the low down on their machines from an users point of view. Acorn searched and researched the market before deciding on the Brother machine. It’s rather nice to know that such a large corporation do take the time to listen to their customers and incorporate their needs into future development. The future of direct T shirt printing looks exicting. It’s a case of watch this space!!. Found this on Youtube

Direct To Garment Printing(DTG)

Acorn continue to invest in new technology.
The small order dept are about to receive their new Direct to garment printer, a Brother GT-541. The new printer will help them produce high quality full colour designs on to white and light coloured clothing in small quantities, even one off t shirts can be produced quickly and efficiently.Direct to garment printers are new to the garment decoration industry. Until now it has never been easy to produce a multi coloured image onto garments in small batches that is cost effective either for the manufacturer or the customer. The new printer will allow a rapid response time and a high resolution image to be produced a reasonable price. The colour fastness is also excellent unlike some of the earlier transfer printing systems.Duncan Horlor, Acorn’s design and Art Director believes the benefits for the customers are many. This will allow us he explains, to service the smaller customers with the same design compexitity that normally only the larger volume work can enjoy due to expensive setup costs. The team are ready and waiting!
