Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Acorn introduced the Uneek range of clothing to our customers just over a year ago. The range has been a fantastic success with the Uneek brand offering really great value for money, style and wear. The products that we have been supplying have had excellent feed back from everyone.
We always test the sample products before we launch them so we get an idea of how they wear and also be confident that our customers will get a product that will wear and wash well.

It is no surprise then that we now extend the Uneek range and the first new product is the UC104 Ultimate Pique polo shirt. This polo is 100% ring spun  cotton so firstly you get a great soft feel. The weight at 250 gms is golf quality and the styling ticks all the boxes.

A really great product at a very keen price ideal uses, golf societies, corporate executive leisure wear, As a company gift, the quality will impress.

Marketing is the key

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

It is not important if you are a one man band or a large corporation marketing is the key to success. It is very easy when times get tough to cut back the budgets and the first is in most cases the marketing budget. Wrong ! Those that are proactive in difficult trading conditions are the ones that come through the storm.  Marketing and advertising can be relatively low cost. Your workforce can be your billboard as well as having the corporate ID.

In addition to Acorn’s a wide range of personalised workwear and corporate clothing, the sign division is very busy suppling banners, pavement signs and exhibition displays.

There are many white van driving around that could be used as valuable advertising space for your company. If you are a builder, plumber or an electrician working at some one’s premises then put a Pavement sign outside and let people know who’s doing the job.

Corporate ID and marketing works.

Big Mac gets make over

Friday, June 6th, 2008

It has been reported in a recent trade magazine that McDonald’s is to roll out a new staff uniform designed by no less than Bruce Oldfield. The new designer uniform will hit the high streets during the summer to all 1,200 restaurants through out the UK. The bit that caught my eye is the 67,000 staff. Wow that is a lot of uniforms !

So next time your thinking of updating for Company business wear just be thankful you haven’t got to kit out 67,000 people.

Another great year for Acorn

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

The end of May saw another year end for Acorn and another record yet again. Our web site is busy as ever and we are handling more orders per month than ever before. Our in house design and manufacturing facility allows us to control quality and ensure tight dead lines can be met. The customer base remains amazingly wide with clients such as the BBC, ITV, Habitat, and at the other end of the spectrum small groups, clubs and societies are well catered for. The great flexibility comes from having our own production unit which enables us to react to all customers large or small.
