Acorn on target with their expansion plans
Today Acorn completed the purchase of an industrial unit next to their existing production unit in Canley Coventry. For some years Acorn has been operating from two sites. The headquarters being based at Balsall Common three miles away from the production unit in Coventry. The purchase of the 2500 sq ft next door to the production facility allows the administration design and sales function to be all on one site with the production. Clive Horlor, Acorn’s Managing Director explains the positives are two fold, the first being improved efficiency that comes with being on one site and two we have room for a larger showroom and general expansion for the future in terms of production and the support team. The facility will allow Acorn to display a range of clothing and safety wear for local companies to view the range of the higher market clothing available for today’s growing corporate requirements. The show room will be open to both corporate and individual clubs etc.

IAAF World Cross Country Championships

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

The Scottish Athletics Host the World Cross country Championships in Edinburgh in just 18 days time. Acorn Printing have been chosen to supply the 81 T shirts for the opening ceremony. 81 School children will parade through the Stadium bearing the flags of each nation. They will wear a unique t shirt each one an individual design bearing the National flag of each entrant. Acorn worked in partnership with Scottish Athletics to design and produce the t shirts. The flexibility of the Acorn team and the quick turn around and support were a major factor in Acorn being Chosen. The new Brother DTG machine played a big part in the ease and speed which Acorn were able to turn the job around.Clive Horlor comments ” using traditional methods for small or individual runs such as sublimation or traditional transfer paper would have made this job a time consuming task”. With the Brother GT-541 it became a viable job that could be produced quickly with excellent results. Look out for them at the opening event.

Having Printed the Team Fountain T shirts

We can support no other. Chris put on an amazing performance and nearly came away with the perfect score. He is so many light years ahead of the other Celebrities the fact he is in the final is no surprise. His time as a Hockey player with all the rough and tumble has given him a head start on which he is building.

Our money is on him to be first past the post in this weeks final and with the t shirts and the team behind him, he can’t fail. Good luck Chris from the team at Acorn.
